Hello adventurers!

The time has finally come – head now to the App Store and download the Golden Update for Oceanhorn 2, available for iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, and Mac!

The Golden Update, the biggest update we have released so far, is packed with new features and improvements: here's a rundown of what you can expect.

First of all, new content: the Golden Update comes with The Shield of Chronos expansion and the Criminal Hunt expansion. The first will give let you explore a brand new dungeon hidden within the Grand Core, at the end of which you'll find the...ahem, Shield of Chronos! (You can see how it looks in the new icon for the game). Besides being a stylish upgrade, it also deflects projectiles and protects Hero from lasers!

The Criminal Hunt questline will instead bring you around the world map, trying to figure out where the dens of five new mini-bosses are – message boards scattered around cities and villages will give you useful hints. Will you take these offenders to justice in the new prison area of the White City? A cool reward awaits you!

Some of you wanted to learn more about what happens to our characters after the end of the game. With this update, we bring you an expanded ending that makes some of the connections with Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (the first game of the series, which you can get on App Store and other platforms) clearer.

Owners of the most recent devices will also be happy to know that the game now features an optional 60 fps mode. Head for the menu and toggle it (why optional? Well, because it will require a bit more from your battery, so toggle it only when you're all juiced up!) The full list of supported devices can be found in our FAQ.

The Golden Update also introduces new Power Shards and changes how they are assigned to items, making it more intuitive than ever. Menus have been redesigned for a better experience, and we've made controls clearer at the beginning of the game. According to how you're playing (touch screen, gamepad, keyboard), you'll see some useful tutorials as you play.

The game also features a brand new Physics-Based Water Simulation – water in the game behaves more realistically, and we have no doubt that the boat sections or fights on the beach will now feel almost like the real thing. We've taken this opportunity to add new music, dialogues, and voice-overs, especially in those areas where NPCs can give you hints or the plot needed a bit more exposition.

There's much more to this update, but enough talking! It's time for you to try it for yourself – adventure awaits!
