Dungeon Informer #2
Dwellers,
How is it going deep down in the Dungeon? We wish you clement seasonal weather and a lucky star shining upon your head! Today's issue of Dungeon Informer focuses on inventory and gear: new Special Items and Power-Ups to carry you through even the roughest patches of your adventure.
The Golden Edition of Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon adds plenty of new toys for you to experiment with – you'll find them around while exploring the halls and corridors of each level or at the new shop in the town of Nexus.
First things first: Special Items. What's not to like when you have new melee weapons such as the Morning Star, a spiked metal ball whirling around your character, making short work of all enemies nearby?
However, a considerable subset of Special Items focuses on ranged attacks. Even in that department, the Golden Edition delivers: we have the Origami Bird (a devastating homing missile attack), the Tiny Warhead (an experimental missile attack from the future, best suited for a single target), and the Peashooter, great for crowd control and to increase battlefield mayhem.
This update also adds a couple of Power-Ups: the Invisibility Potion, which turns a character into a ghost imperceptible to the enemies, and the Chili, making heroes go berserk and, for a short time, able to quickly clean up all enemies on screen.
There is another category of items in this update – we won't spoil much, but let's just say it will please those looking to see familiar faces.
You might think: Why do I need all these new items? Because you'll also have new enemies to defeat, that's why! The Golden Update introduces new enemies from Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, all with unique attack patterns that will force you to devise new combat strategies. But, that's not all: not only you'll face a refreshed cast of regular enemies, you'll also have to deal with Mini-Bosses!
Mini-Bosses are enormous versions of regular enemies, often to be defeated to proceed, and they sport modified and mightier versions of their classic attack.
Chronos Dungeon has just become both more fun and more dangerous!
We're not done with the tips – we'll discuss more in Issue #3 of Dungeon Informer!
